True Hermaphroditism: A report of 3 cases
Abstract
3 children with ambiguous genitalia are presented in whom the normal karyotype 46, XX and preoperative endocrinologic study suggested the diagnosis of true Hermaphroditism. Serum androgen levels in response to human chronic gonadotropin in one of the patients were in the range for normal prepubertal males implying the presence of cryptic testicular tissue. The diagnosis of true Hermaphroditism was confirmed at surgery in all three patients
