Surgical techniques in management of undescended testes
Abstract
Successful performance of orchiopexy depends on different factors including age, localization of the testis, length of spermatic vessels and vas deferens, and more important, surgeon's experience and choosing the right patient for the method employed. Fowler-Stephens method can be employed in the first year of life. Rate of success with this method in different statistics is reported to be 20 to 85 per cent.
