Surgical complications of adenotonsillectomy in 141 patients
Abstract
In this prospective cross-sectional study of 141 patients who had undergone adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy or adenotonsillectomy, symptoms, signs and complications of surgery have been studied. The most common clinical finding was disappearance of nasolabial sulcus (91%), the most common reason for seeking medical advice was recurrent infection of pharynx (55%) and the most common complication was hemorrhage (6%) in which 4 cases required a reoperation.
